An extra month of daylight savings for Canberra.

19 June 2007

Residents of the ACT will have a further four weeks of daylight saving after NSW and Victoria formally agreed to common dates.

The decision means that daylight savings will start on the first Sunday in October in the ACT, NSW, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria.  It will end in all five jurisdictions on the first Sunday in April, meaning an extra month for the ACT.
