May 2001 clear, mild and dry.

Gungahlin weather conditions in May were predominantly clear, mild and dry.

Nights were cool to cold, with an average minimum of 2.1°C (3.9°C last year).  The warmest night was May 16 when the temperature was 10°C, while on May 30 it dropped to -4°C.

Gungahlin had 17 frosts during the month (16 last year) and there were two fogs.

Days were generally mild and sunny with an average maximum of 16.5°C (14.6°C last year).   The highest temperature was 22°C, recorded on May 14.  In contrast, the temperature reached just 12°C on May 28, but there was no repeat of the blizzard conditions that swept across Gungahlin on the same day in 2000.

Only 6.8mm of rain has fallen in the past two months, with just 1.6mm in May.
