

Weather conditions across Gungahlin during March were generally dry and mild, with temperatures slightly up on normal.
Nights were mild, with an average minimum of 11.0°C (10.8°C last year). The warmest night occurred on March 20 when the temperature was 16°C, while on March 1 it dropped to a cooler 9°C.
Days were generally mild to warm and clear, with an average maximum of 24.8°C, a little warmer than last year's average of 23.6°C. The highest temperature was 33°C, recorded on March 19, while on March 30, Gungahlin's maximum reached just 18°C.
Gungahlin received two light fogs during March, but there were no frosts.
Winds averaged at 3.7 km/h during the month, and the strongest gust recorded was a 48.3 km/h northerly on March 26
After the record-breaking rains of February, dry conditions returned. For 19 days between March 7 and 25 not a drop of rain fell. The total for the month was 24.6mm (59.8mm last March) with rain recorded on five days.
Outlook: Indications are for average April weather conditions, but it also looks like it will remain on the dry side. Daytime temperatures should average 19°C, but nights will start to cool rapidly, and average 6°C. The year's first frost is likely within a week.
